Quadrantids Results(2006)

In 2006, since it was not enough observed data, the detail activity profile was not seen fron 282°.8 to 283°.0. Using observed data and annual activity profile, the main peak was provided by "QUA06C01". After the main peak, the sub peak was observed around 03h 4th(UT) (283°.545). Similar results were seen in 2003 and 2005.

Activity Level (using worldwide data)

Jan. 3 18h 283°.167 4.87 ± 0.98
Jan. 4 03h 283°.545 2.51 ± 0.04

Parameter

  • Radiant : α = 230°.1, δ = +48°.5
  • Radian Elevation : 15° < h < 80°
  • Using data within ± 0.75 σ in all observed data.

Reference

  • Structure of meteor activity is estimated by "Lorentz profile".
